Chinese Woodblock Prints: Context & Practice, an exhibition jointly presented by the Muban Educational Trust and the Art Department of St Paul’s School, continues.
Christer von der Burg, Chairman of the Muban Educational Trust; James Soren Edgren, expert on Chinese rare books; Weng Lianxi, research fellow from the Palace Museum in Beijing, visited the exhibition.
Mr von der Burg commented: “The room and the prints exhibited suited each other excellently. Lots of light and perfect dimensions on room and prints. The hanging of the prints, like the framing, was done with great thought and balance. Most importantly, the exhibited prints are very exciting in their many variations and artistic qualities. It is wonderful to see that there are so many young, talented artist entering the printmaking world. It makes me wanting to start collecting modern Chinese prints again.”
